Souto Moura Houses

Açores

The Pritzker Prize is awarded annually to architects who combine qualities such as talent, vision, and commitment, making consistent and significant contributions to humanity and the built environment through the art of architecture. Eduardo Souto de Moura received the Pritzker in 2011. At Lagoa das Sete Cidades, we can visit a housing development of 27 family homes designed by Souto de Moura and Adriano Pimenta. The homes incorporate elements characteristic of the northeastern construction style of São Miguel.
