Ângela Rosa is a farmer and activist.
Her parents were in construction, but she chose a different path—embracing the family’s farming heritage, passed down from her grandparents. She grew up harvesting wheat, picking olives, and baking bread.
She left behind a degree in law to study natural medicine, and in her early twenties, she became a certified organic producer. On her farms in the Tavira region, she cultivates almonds, carob, figs, vegetables, and much more—because the land, when cared for, gives abundantly.
She is one of the founding members of AL BIO – Algarve Agroecological Association, a community of organic farmers committed to ecological and regenerative practices, reducing environmental impact and fostering biodiversity.
